28 Days ....The Trilogy? [13 Jan 2009|10:20pm]

[ mood | anxious ]

I read this a while back...and for the life of me I cannot remember what interview it's from. I'll have to check Cillian's fan sites for magazine articles...

Danny Boyle was being interviewed for either Sunshine or more recently for Slumdog...

The interviewer DID ask if a 28 Days Later sequel was in the future ...and Danny said they were throwing ideas around for a story.

I REALLY hope Danny makes a proper sequel. 28 Weeks sucked arse in my opinion. It didn't make much sense in relation to Danny's vision. There wasn't any depth at all. Boyle opened up a whole can of worms to where this story could lead. If he directs a third installment, I wonder if he'll go back to the original story or continue on from 28 Weeks.

What do you guys think?

I originally thought that a sequel should follow up with the main characters (because I LOVE Jim/Cillian). The UK has been quarantined from the world and a new strain has broken out when our scientists (or Europeans/Americans) try to find a cure or something, etc and they plan on eradicating all life in Britain and what our characters do to survive, and so forth.

Or do they take it from where 28 Weeks left off with the kid being immune and a global outbreak?

CONGRATS DANNY BOYLE !!!!!! [13 Jan 2009|10:13pm]

[ mood | bouncy ]

Hell yeah, baby!

I know this isn't 28 Days Later related....well, it is...

But I'm so happy Danny won for Slumdog Millionaire! This talented man is FINALLY getting the recognition and respect he deserves. I really believe that Danny could be the next big director to contend with in years to come. He is such a visionary and daring artist.

On to the OSCARS!!!! Boyle is gonna kick some arse this year!!!!!!

Hi Everybody! [29 Nov 2008|04:39pm]

[ mood | crazy ]

I'm new!

I absolutely LOVE 28 Days Later. It's one of my favorite films. Danny Boyle is absolutely amazing and I've been into most of his films (except The Beach, just not my bag). He really is going to be the director to contend with (among a few others in my book) as far as stunning and thought provoking films are concerned.

Was anyone else rather disappointed in 28 Weeks Later but me? After the original, I thought the sequel just fell flat. It wasn't bad, mind you...but it just didn't have the whoah factor for me.
It was like trying to compare Aliens to Alien. You can't. Again, Aliens wasn't bad. It could have been a stand alone film, but I must admit everything after Aliens really sucked arse.

Another reason I love Danny is that Cillian finally got mainstream recognition because of this film. I'm Irish-English, and the more I see our fantastic actors get attention, the happier I am.

icon request? [15 Oct 2008|12:37pm]

Hi, everyone!  I just watched 28 Days Later for the first time last night, and I thought it was an absolutely brilliant film.  I'm looking for a specific image to be made into an icon, but I can't find it.  (I'm not very good at searching for this kind of stuff, though.)  I'm looking for cut for languageCollapse )

So if anyone can help me there, I'd be really grateful.

Hello [03 Feb 2008|12:30pm]

I posted a question here a few months ago about legal online movie downloads.   Someone replied to my journal with a useful link, but i seem to have lost the information.   If you're still out there, would you mind posting that in comments for me, either here or on my journal?

28 Days Later fandom help [29 Jan 2008|08:29am]

Hello, I run Fan History, a fandom wiki dedicated to writing and preserving the history of fandom. There is an article about the 28 Days Later fandom that could use some help from people inside the fandom. :) While it is easy to get things like when communities were started and when canon was released, it is much harder to put that information into context, find out about fandom fighting, who the big name fans are and what people are doing at conventions and on the more remote parts of the Internet. Any help in editing the article would be much appreciated. :) If you don't feel comfortable editing the 28 Days Later article, please pass the link along to anyone you think might be able to. :) The more people who contribute to the article, the more accurate and useful it will be.

"Wait--Did That--" [31 Dec 2007|03:59am]

Maybe I am the only one here who has never seen this image before, since it did happen in a heartbeat, but I thought I would share it anyways.

And, also, does anyone think that the impact of where after the soldier goes about saying "...planes are still flying in the air, and the rest of the world is still living their lives" and in the next scene, there it is, whilst Jim is down on his back, in the sky, a plane...flying peacefully over head. That was...really something.

I do honestly believe that this film is a masterpiece, and one of the best films that I ave ever seen. So much emotion, so much...ability to touch every aspect of our minds. 28 Weeks Later honestly has nothing on 28 Days Later. :\
